Classification of resistance strain gauges

  1. 1.Wire wound

   With resistance wire coiled resistor film called Wire wound Resistance film, currently widely used in a semicircle elbow flat-wound, the resistance sheet more than paper and paper cover, low price, suitable for extensive use of laboratories, the disadvantage is poor precision, transverse effect coefficient is larger.

        2.Sub type

    The production of this resistor is relatively easy, in a row of straightened resistance wire, in the predetermined standard distance with a thicker wire to create a short circuit, this resistor is useful for the bottom of the paper, but also useful gum bottom. The advantage of short-circuit-connected resistor is that the geometrical shape is easier to guarantee and the transverse effect coefficient is nearly zero.

     

     3.Foil resistor

   It is in the alloy foil (Kang copper foil or nickel-chrome foil) on one side of the gelatinize to form a rubber bottom, then on the foil surface with photographic etching method, so the geometry and size is very precise, and because the resistance wire is partly flat and thin rectangular section, so paste firmly, the heat dissipation performance of the wire is good, the transverse effect coefficient is also lower, compared with the wire-wound strain film , foil film has the following advantages:

        a. With the development of lithography technology, foil-chip can ensure the size of accurate, uniform lines, so the sensitivity coefficient dispersion is small. Particularly prominent is the ability to make the gate length very small (such as 0.2mm) or sensitive grating pattern special strain gage.


   b.The foil section is rectangular, so the grating surface area is large, and the heat dissipation is good. In this way, under the same cross-sectional area, the permissible current is larger than that of the wire-wound film (φ0.025mm of the Kang-CU ratio is about 35Ma, the foil can be large several times), so that the measurement has the possibility of outputting a larger signal. In addition, the surface area ambassador adhesion increased, conducive to deformation transfer, thus increasing the accuracy of the measurement.


   c.The line width of the transverse part of the foil-type sensitive gate is much larger than that of the longitudinal part, so the Resistance (zeta) of the unit length is much smaller, so the transverse effect of the foil plate is very small.


   d.Foil films are gum base, so good insulation, creep and mechanical lag small, good moisture resistance.


  e.Facilitate mass production and high productivity.


  As the foil strain gage has these characteristics, it will gradually replace the wire-wound strain gage in the strain measurement at room temperature.
